Farmhouse

An old farmhouse that is believed to be built in the late 1800s is situated to the northwest of the main house. Currently, this house is used for storage. It has had some renovations but is not yet livable. The farmhouse looks like it has a stable foundation, the standing-seam tin roof is not sagging or leaking, there are updated floor joists, and there is a newer foundation with the beginning of an extension.

Historic rehabilitation tax credit is possible for this house.

The Original Fairview House

This structure is ready for a renovation and would make a magnificent guest house. An architectural survey for the Virginia Department of Historic Resources was completed in 2005 and can be viewed here.

Ready for Renovation

The farmhouse still retains much of the original woodwork like the staircase newel post and molding that is throughout the house. The interior plaster walls have been removed and the house is currently down to the studs.
